CostaVerde Tours is a boutique travel agency specializing in educational and regenerative tourism across Costa Rica and Central America. Founded by passionate educators and naturalists, we believe travel can be a powerful force for ecological restoration and cultural empowerment.

CostaVerde Tours is a small, family-owned Costa Rican company with a lifelong passion for sharing our country’s natural and cultural treasures. As pioneers in educational tourism, we’ve spent over 30 years guiding travelers through Costa Rica’s forests, coasts, and communities — always with a focus on learning, respect, and regeneration. Our family’s legacy is built on connection: between people and nature, visitors and locals, and knowledge and action for a more sustainable world.

Driven by love for the Earth and the people who live in it

Throughout the years we have worked with many inspiring people and communities across Central America. Driven by our passion to share the region’s rich culture and biodiversity with the world, we have partnered with local guides and communities in Guatemala and Panamá.

Our mission remains more relevant than ever — at a time when mass tourism threatens the environment and local livelihoods, we aim to be a beacon of responsible, community-led experiences that contribute to improving lives and restoring ecosystems.

Through every tour, we aim to:

  • Restore ecosystems by supporting reforestation projects, wildlife corridors, and marine conservation efforts.

  • Empower local communities by partnering with family-owned businesses, Indigenous cooperatives, and local guides, ensuring tourism benefits are shared equitably.

  • Educate and inspire travelers with interactive workshops, field studies, and cultural exchanges that foster a deep connection to our world.

CostaVerde Tours is accredited by the Instituto Costarricense de Turismo (ICT) and has over 30 years of experience working with individual travelers, agents and educational tour companies in the United States and Europe.
